SAINT-ANTOINE-DE-TILLY, Que. — Fromagerie Bergeron has been recognized once again by the Sélection Caseus at its 18th annual competition, earning a Bronze Caseus for its Louis Cyr strong Gouda cheese.
At this year’s competition — held at Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec — more than 182 cheeses and 40 cheesemakers competed for national honours.
Bergeron’s Louis Cyr is the product of brothers Mario and Roger Bergeron’s trial-and-error work. In addition to this year’s accolade, Louis Cyr took home a Silver Caseus in 2015.
