VANCOUVER — Bimini, an Vancouver-based English-style pub, is celebrating its grand re-opening following years of disrepair and a devastating fire in 2007.

Along with new and renovated pub features, such as a games room and a jukebox, the historic pub features 24 varieties of beer on tap, cocktails and modern pub fare. In developing the menus, executive chef Michael Knowlson — formerly of Bacchus and Sequoia Grill — worked closely with consulting chef Robert Belcham, co-owner of Vancouver’s successful Refuel, Campagnolo and Roma Restaurants, to source local and seasonal ingredients.

Bimini originally opened in 1974 with the province’s first neighbourhood pub licence and years later became Vancouver’s first‘cross-use bar — alternating from a traditional pub to a venue with DJ-driven parties with a range of entertainment. In 2007, the day before re-opening following renovations, Bimini was devastated by fire.

Bimini is located at 2010 West 4th Avenue.
