Blueberries to the Rescue


Many of us have heard that blueberries provide lots of antioxidants, but now a group of scientists are investigating ways to enrich the wild fruit further. A story in P.E.I’s Guardian examines how the berries are being puréed into paste that can be used for juice and other products. The scientists are also determining ways to avoid spraying pesticides on whole crops, while also keeping the plants free from disease and free to grow bigger and better. Click here, to read more.
