EDMONTON — Canadian smoothie company, Booster Juice celebrated its 20th anniversary on November 13 and to celebrate, it teamed up with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) to give back.

On its anniversary, customers could buy a second smoothie for $0.99 with the purchase of one regular-size smoothie. All proceeds from the second smoothie were donated to the JDRF.

“JDRF would like to congratulate Booster Juice for achieving their 20th Anniversary and we’re incredibly proud of our partnership,” says Dave Prowten, president and CEO of JDRF Canada. “I want to thank the entire Booster Juice organization for helping improve the lives of people affected by type-1 diabetes.”

The promotion raised $32,197 and Booster Juice head office donated an additional $1,000 to JDRF as part of a social-media contest, bringing the grand total to $33,197.
