RICHMOND, B.C. — The money has been tabulated, and Boston Pizza guests raised $518,000 for the Boston Pizza Foundation as part of the restaurant’s 21st annual heart-shaped pizza charity event.

On February 14, $1 from the sale of special heart-shaped pizzas sold at Boston Pizza’s 345 locations was donated to the Boston Pizza Foundation, along with $2 donations throughout January and February for the purchase of paper hearts to place messages. “We are thankful to the thousands of guests across the country who enjoyed heart-shaped pizzas this Valentine’s Day in support of the Boston Pizza Foundation,” says Cheryl Treliving, executive director of the Boston Pizza Foundation.

The valentine’s charity campaign has raised more than $5 million since its inception in 1993. Money donated to the Boston Pizza Foundation supports several charities across the country, including the Heart & Stroke Foundation and the Kids Help Phone.
