TORONTO — The creator of School and Recess restaurants in Toronto is back with another foodservice venture called Old School, opening Saturday on the corner of Dundas Street and Palmerston Avenue, at the site of the former Hudson Kitchen.
Brad Moore (School and Recess), executive chef and co-owner, has teamed with Ian Kapitan, chef de cuisine, to introduce a barbecue-themed eatery that will be open 24-7. The duo took inspiration from barbecue traditions from Kansas City, Memphis, North Carolina and Austin, developing their own rendition of the barbecue tradition for the laid-back eatery.
Old School offers a sit-down component and a general store located in the back. It will serve breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner.
