BOUCHERVILLE, Que. — Bridor is investing $200 million over a five-year period in its North-American production plants. In all, $170 million has been earmarked for its Boucherville plant, while the other $30 million will be invested into Bridor’s Vineland plant in New Jersey.

The massive investment comes on the heels of the company’s 35th anniversary on Sept. 30 and reaffirms Bridor’s strong presence in the North-American market. Bridor has more than 800 employees in North American— 600 in Canada and 200 in the U.S.

The project aims to increase the Boucherville plant’s pastry-production capacity by 68per cent in the next year and is backed by a recruitment plan for the creation of nearly 200 jobs in Canada and the U.S.
