Brockton General Opens in Toronto

TORONTO — Brockton General is one of the newest additions to Dundas Street West in Toronto. The low-key snack bar seats 30 and offers a bare bones menu posted each night before service, reports Toronto Life.

According to the magazine, owners Pam Thomson and Brie Read found the space on Craigslist in June and have hired Guy Rawlings, from Cowbell, to man the small kitchen where diners can expect to find snacks of olives, pickled vegetables and almonds ($3), duck liver mousse ($7) and Bourbanade, freshly squeezed lemonade with bourbon and pop ($8).

That said, there’s dinner, too. It’s served Thursday, Friday and Saturday, while drinks are served every night, except Tuesday when the restaurant closes.
