VANCOUVER — The owners of the B.C.-based Browns Socialhouse have signed a development deal to establish as many as 10 locations in Calgary within the next seven years.
The franchisee team pegged to lead the Calgary development includes 30-year industry veterans Gord McCormick, partner; Greg Taylor, operations manager; Chad McCormick director of Business Development; and Chad Taylor president and GM.
“We are enthusiastic about bringing our brand to Calgary. Its booming economy and residential spread will enable Browns to serve multiple neighbourhoods,” said Bruce Fox, COO and VP, Development of Browns Restaurant Group. “Plus, this group of franchisees is an ideal fit for us. Working with experienced restaurateurs is critical to the Browns Socialhouse business model.”
The Western Canada restaurant owners also intend to open in Ontario in 2015. By the end of 2014, 50 Browns Socialhouses are expected to be established in the western provinces.
