Browns Socialhouse and Symposium Café Receive Franchise Awards

TORONTO — The Canadian Franchise Association presented its annual Awards of Excellence in Franchising, shining the spotlight on Vancouver-based Browns Socialhouse and Toronto-based Symposium Café for superior franchisee relations, leadership, business planning, marketing, training and support, ongoing operations and communications.

In the New/Emerging Franchises category, Vancouver-based Browns Socialhouse took home the gold award as well as a Franchisees’ Choice designation. “This has been another incredibly exciting and important award for us,” said Bruce Fox, COO and VP, Development for Browns Restaurant Group. “It’s awesome to see our franchise owners have rated us so highly once again. This truly is a reflection of the relationships we have with our system and our commitment to building world-class brands.” Vancouver-based Cobs Bread won silver in the New/Emerging Franchises category as well as a Franchisee’s Choice designation. In the Mature/Established category, Symposium Café took home gold and White Spot Restaurants took home silver.

Franchisees’ Choice winners include Boston Pizza, Famoso Neapolitan Pizzeria, Mary Brown’s Inc., Pizza Nova, Pizza Pizza, A&W Food Services of Canada Inc., BeaverTails, Druxy’s Famous Deli, East Side Mario’s, Edo Japan, Harvey’s, Kelsey’s, Milestones Grill + Bar, Montana’s Cookhouse, Opa! Souvlaki Franchise Group Inc., Panago Pizza Inc. and Swiss Chalet.
