STRATFORD, Ont. — Chef Arron Carley of the Bruce Hotel in Stratford, Ont. made Chopped Canada history in his recently aired episode of the Food Network show.

Not only is Carley the first Stratford chef to win a Chopped Canada competition, but he did so in an exemplary fashion. On two occasions during the competition, Carley helped his fellow competitor to finish on time after completing his own creations. According to the show’s host, this was the first time in the competition’s history a competitor has done this.

“Working in a kitchen is all about teamwork and even if that would have cost me the possibility to win, I would have been very proud to help my colleague to win,” says Carley.

In celebration of his win, the Bruce Hotel will be hosting a remake of the winning menu Oct. 21 ($75/person) followed by a Q&A with Carley.
