Cabana Pool Debuts in Toronto

TORONTO — Toronto sun seekers now have a swanky new poolside retreat to worship the sun, with news Charles Khabouth, president of Ink Entertainment, has launched the Cabana Pool Bar.

“Think of the Cabana Pool Bar as a daytime extension of our nightlife counterparts,” said Khabouth. “Day-to-nightlife has become a partying genre in places like Miami and Vegas. And, yes, while there’s a spectacular pool, good-looking people, plenty of libations, and music to promote a party atmosphere, guests at the Cabana Pool Bar can also chill out and laze the day away.”

The poolside retreat, located in Toronto’s industrial Port Lands adjacent to the Sound Academy, is designed by Munge Leung. The 50,000-sq.-ft. space features a South Beach-style Cabana Pool Bar, complete with an octagonal outdoor swimming pool, 12 private Cabanas, daybeds and room for 2,500 sun worshippers. The outdoor pool will be surrounded by chaise lounges, custom-made raised cabanas with beds and foot showers, each with a full menu and bottle service, a private, stocked refrigerator, a safe, a lounge bed, seating for 15 and a curtain for privacy. Meanwhile, a menu of Oliver & Bonacini appetizers and hand-held nibbles, ranging from sliders to pizza, sushi and signature cocktails, will be served in the lounge or ordered poolside.

The Cabana Pool Bar operates until Sept. 8 with guest deejays and musical performances scheduled every weekend during the summer.

As part of his empire, Khabouth owns La Societé, Cube, Weslodge, Guvernment, Spice Route and Patria, among other locales.
