TORONTO — Calii Love is opening its second location in less than six months at Bay and Cumberland streets in Toronto in February 2017.
Building on the success of its first restaurant in the city’s King West neighbourhood, Calii Love will expand its menu with fresh and healthy additions, such as chef Joe Friday’s homemade bone broth (immune boosting and gut healing). The new menu will go beyond poké and acai-bowl offerings — focusing on lifestyle and mindful eating by incorporating salads and grain bowls. In collaboration of a nutritionist, Calii Love will better inform consumers on the health benefits of its smoothies as well as showcase the calorie counts of all bowls. The direct-trade coffee program with roaster Barocco will also get a boost and the restaurant will continue to work with farmers and aquaponics for sustainable and locally sourced greens, as well as sustainable and Ocean Wise-recommended fish.
