LONDON, U.K. ― Montreal’s Joe Beef has placed number 81 on The World’s Best Restaurants list by London-based William Reed Business Media, putting Canada back among the top eateries after being shutout for the past few years.
Joe Beef is the only Canadian restaurant to be recognized on the list. Other entries included Geranium in Denmark (51), Tim Raue in Germany (52) and Hertog Jan in Belgium (53).
Rankings 51 through 100 were announced today, as a prelude to an awards dinner on June 1, which will reveal the 50 best restaurants.
