Canadian Bartender Crowned Beefeater MIXLDN 2015 Champion

TORONTO — Evelyn Chick from Toronto won the global 2015 Beefeater MIXLDN Cocktail Competition held Jan. 29 in London, England, beating 31 international finalists with her “Endless English Summers” cocktail.

Chick was selected to represent Canada after defeating top bartenders from across the country in a national competition. “This is an incredible achievement that showcases Canada at the forefront of the global cocktail culture,” says Maxime Kouchnir, VP of Marketing, Corby Spirit and Wine, one of the national event organizers. “It is not only a true testament to the quality of bartending in Canada, but also the quality of training and brand education. This win speaks great volumes to the talent in this country, and we couldn’t be any prouder of Evelyn’s accomplishment.”

Chick will represent the Beefeater brand at exclusive events all around the world. As the reigning champion, she will also travel to some of the world’s most prestigious bartender events, such as the Moscow Bar Show and the Berlin Bar Convent. “I am so excited and honoured to have picked up the top award at the Beefeater MIXLDN Global Bartender Competition,” says Chick. “The level of talent this year was exceptional and my fellow contestants delivered some truly memorable drinks.”
