Canadian Culinary Book Award Short List Announced

GUELPH, Ont. — Cuisine Canada and The University of Guelph recently announced the short list for the 2011 Canadian Culinary Book Awards.

A panel of 20 Canadian food professionals selected the best of 82 entries in six categories and two languages.

The nominees include Sarah Elton (Locavore) in the English special interest category; Michael Bonacini, Massimo Capra and Jason Parsons (3 Chefs: The Kitchen Men) in the English cookbook category and Anne Fortin (Cuisiner avec le sirop d’érable du Québec) in the French Canadian culinary culture category.

The winners will be announced Nov 7 at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto. For the full list of award nominees, check out the Canadian Culinary Book Awards website.
