HILLSBORO, Ore. — Wok Box, a Canadian-based Pan-Asian quick-service restaurant chain (QSR), has entered the U.S. market with the opening of a store in Hillsboro, Oregon.

“After 10 years of success throughout Canada, we’re proud to expand Wok Box to the United States and make Hillsboro, Ore., our first home,” said Wok Box CEO, Scott Bender.

“We are confident that Portland-area food enthusiasts will embrace our Fresh Asian Kitchen concept, with our freshly cooked healthy Pan-Asian dishes that are prepared daily using high-quality, authentic spices and sauces.”

The QSR chain serves items, such as stir-fry noodles, rice and curry boxes, banh mi sandwiches and seasonal offerings by executive chef Don Letendre. The restaurants also offer several vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options for dine-in or take-out.

The new 1,200-sq.-ft. Wok Box restaurant is owned and operated by veteran franchisees Ron Elton and his son Michael. This marks the company’s 56th location worldwide.
