TORONTO — Canopy Growth has unveiled its new portfolio of “Cannabis 2.0” products, including its Distilled Cannabis concept, chocolates, vape cartridges and vape pens.

The news follows the company’s recent receipt of a critical operating and secure-storage license from Health Canada for its 150,000-sq.-ft. beverage facility, which is vital to its Cannabis 2.0 portfolio.

“Since our first medical sale in 2014, we’ve been focused on innovation and quality, and now we’re expanding that with the launch of our game-changing recreational beverages, chocolates and vapes,” says Mark Zekulin, CEO, Canopy Growth.

The company will be moving forward with Distilled Cannabis beverages offered in a wide variety of brands, flavours and sizes.

Tweed RTD (ready to drink), are pre-mixed with Distilled Cannabis and offered in 355-ml cans. The RTD beverages are flavoured to represent Tweed’s three core cannabis strains. Canopy growth has also partnered with Houseplant — a company founded by Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen — to develop Houseplant Grapefruit and Houseplant Lemon, both containing 2.5 mg of THC per 355-ml can.

The company has also developed a line of THC- and CBD-infused sparkling-water beverages under the new brand Quatreau, which will initially come in four flavours/formulations and are targeted at “wellness-focused beverage enthusiasts.” And, for consumers interested in a more potent option, Deep Space is a smaller ready to drink carbonated beverage with a bold, full flavour and 10 mg of THC per 222-ml can.

In addition, Canopy has established a new brand of beverage mixers, Tweed Distilled Cannabis. Packaged in 150-ml bottles, the company’s proprietary clear liquid cannabis, Tweed Distilled Cannabis can be mixed with any non-alcoholic beverage or enjoyed neat or on the rocks. Tweed Distilled Cannabis will be flavoured using three core Tweed strains and will be available in early 2020.

In addition to the growth in the beverage sector, Canopy’s new offerings include three new brands of cannabis-infused bean-to-bar craft chocolate through a partnership with Hummingbird Chocolate.

Bean & Bud premium 70-per-cent dark chocolate comes in shareable chocolate medallions, with two medallions per package and 5 mg of THC each. Tweed milk chocolate features Canopy’s proprietary hybrid strain, Penelope, and contains 2.5 mg of THC and 1.8 mg of CBD in each of the four chocolate squares. Tokyo Smoke THC-infused dark chocolate features a sativa-dominant cannabis extract with minimal CBD content. Each five-piece chocolate bar contains 10 mg of THC in total.

“With the coming of Cannabis 2.0, our goal is to provide customers with the best quality products and I truly believe, through the hard work and dedication of our team, we’ve delivered just that,” says Zekulin.
