Capra Toasts Restaurant Anniversary with Niagara Culinary Experience Event

NIAGARA FALLS, Ont. — Celebrity chef Massimo Capra recently celebrated his third anniversary at the Rainbow Room restaurant at the Crowne Plaza Niagara Falls, Fallsview, with a special dinner.

“For the past three years, chef Capra has been creating delicious dishes at the Niagara Falls restaurant, using locally sourced ingredients that highlight the Niagara Region’s deep culinary background. The Rainbow Room restaurant remains one of the Region’s most exciting restaurants because of the attention to detail the staff prides itself on,” said Sarah Vazquez, VP, Marketing, Falls Avenue Resort, which houses the Rainbow Room and other dining and entertainment.

Capra, along with Crowne Plaza Fallsview executive chef, John Casciato, created a special menu featuring locally sourced ingredients for more than 100 guests. The menu featured pairings from Niagara’s 13th Street Winery.

The commemorative dinner was part of the Niagara Culinary Experiences, a series of events marking the chefs and vintners who call the Falls Avenue Resort their home. The next evening in the series will feature a five-course Valentine’s Vintner’s Dinner with Jamie Kennedy at Windows by Jamie Kennedy (also at Falls Avenue Resort), Feb. 15.
