ABBOTSFORD, B.C. — Carl’s Jr. is further expanding its burger chain in Canada with a new location in Abbotsford, B.C.

The new restaurant is the seventh Carl’s Jr. location to open in British Columbia and the eighth in Canada; it is part of a larger plan to expand across Canada in the coming months and years.

“Fraser Valley is hungry for a bigger, better-burger experience,” said Billy Newell, CEO and managing partner at FYP Investments Inc., which operates the new restaurant. “Following the successful openings of our Vancouver and Chilliwack locations in the past year and a half, we’re looking forward to bringing Carl’s Jr.’s famous charbroiled burgers and best-in-class customer service farther south to Abbotsford.”

FYP Investments Inc. plans to open 25 additional stores over the next five years in Chilliwack, Vancouver, Langley and Surrey. Other stores are expected this year in Edmonton and Toronto.
