Celebrating Agriculture

TORONTO — Hogtown’s visitors and residents can take the edge off the inevitable blustery winter days ahead and celebrate the season’s bounty at the upcoming Royal Agricultural Winter Fair.

The fair, which runs from Nov. 5 to Nov. 14 at Toronto’s Exhibition Place, is the world’s largest indoor agricultural and equestrian show. This year, agriculture will be well represented by a plethora of foodie-friendly events, including an appearance by Duff Goldman, from the Food Network’s Ace of Cakes, who will create something during the festivities. Also on the docket is the Awesome Innovations in Agriculture exhibition, which will address the importance of the agri-food sector and its impact on the lives of Canadians.

“For 10 days in November, urbanites have the special opportunity to experience authentic country life, and not only learn about where our food comes from, but actually see animals and agriculture up close,” said the fair’s CEO, Bob Jadavji.
