MONTREAL — Xavier Poncin, CEO of Expo Canada France and leader of SIAL Canada, passed away on July 27 at the age of 50. His two sons, Valentine and Thomas Poncin, made the announcement on Saturday, July 30th, which was shared by SIAL Canada via an email.
Poncin joined Expo Canada France in 2009 and he led SIAL Canada for 14 years.
“As directors of Expo Canada France, our thoughts are with his children, his family and all of his loved ones, as well as with all the Expo Canada France teams with whom he shared his daily life,” said the Board of Directors of Expo Canada France in a release. “We’re losing a collaborator, but also a friend who put so much heart and energy into everything he undertook. We are all very proud to have had the opportunity to work with Xavier.”
