Chef Cory Vitiello Throws Support Behind Triscuit Funding Campaign

TORONTO — Award-winning Canadian chef Cory Vitiello and Triscuit are teaming up to help fund businesses — from small farms to microbrewers to food trucks — across Canada and the U.S.

Triscuit has pledged $250,000 to support 55 artisans on Indiegogo, such as Niagara, Ont.’s The Grounds Coffeehouse, who wants to open a mobile iced-coffee service around Niagara during the spring and summer months, or Eden Urban Farms in Detroit, which is raising funds to add more indoor farming equipment to provide locally sourced food products year-round.

“I believe inspired creativity has a simple idea at heart, like Triscuit does, so I’m working with the brand to show support for food makers and celebrate simple ingredients that make delicious creations,” says Vitiello, owner of Toronto’s The Harbord Room and Flock.
