TORONTO — On the heels of being named among Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants, Café Boulud, located inside of Four Seasons Hotel Toronto is welcoming back chef Daniel Boulud for a special culinary experience. On May 31, Boulud, in collaboration with chef de cuisine Colin Henderson, will pay homage to the 30-year legacy of the Michelin-starred dining destination, Restaurant DANIEL. A curated menu will highlight the talent and creations that have garnered the establishment’s worldwide acclaim over the past three decades.

A pillar of New York City’s bustling dining scene, DANIEL has become known worldwide for its opulent menu, showcasing culinary specialties infused with European flair. The five-course tasting menu will offer refined European cuisine with ever-popular dishes available at DANIEL. To begin, guests will enjoy passed canapés, including beef and anchovy, Parmesan Baskets and Meyer Lemon and Caviar Pomponette.  As the evening commences, the first course will highlight a refreshing Chilled Pea Velouté, followed by Homard aux Morilles et Vin Jaune. Next, Slow Baked Sea Bass with potato boulangère, leek royale and syrah sauce, and the final savoury dish will be Canard Montmorency with spiced duck, spinach, young turnips, foie gras and fresh cherry. Each course will be paired perfectly with a wine selection chosen by expert head sommelier Anna Jarosz.

“It’s with great pleasure that I’m bringing a taste and celebration of three decades of Restaurant DANIEL to Toronto,” says Boulud. “As both restaurants are close to my heart, I look forward to working alongside chef Colin in the Café Boulud kitchen as we prepare DANIEL classics and toast its 30 years of culinary excellence in New York.”
