KITCHENER, Ont. — Canadian chef Jonathan Gushue is planning to open a new restaurant in downtown Kitchener, reports CBC Canada.

According to a staff report to Kitchener council, a liquor license application was filed for a restaurant to be called “The Berlin” by Jonathan Gushue, former Cambridge Ont.-based Langdon Hall executive chef. Set to open on 41 King St. W., The Berlin will seat 200 people and open for meals Tuesday through Sunday.

In 2014, Gushue left Langdon Hall for a position supervising the expansion of Toronto-based Queen Margherita Pizza. The Berlin is believed to be his first independent restaurant. [cbc.ca]
