Chef Massimo Capra Set to Open Two Italian Eateries at Pearson

TORONTO, Ont. — SSP Canada has announced its partnership with celebrity chef Massimo Capra to bring two Italian restaurants to Toronto’s Pearson International Airport.

“Massimo Capra is a celebrated chef, outstanding restaurateur, noted author and much-loved television personality. We are honoured to be working with someone of his calibre and are absolutely delighted to be showcasing his passion, creative force and incredible food to the passengers of Toronto Pearson.”  said Pat Murray, executive VP of SSP Canada.

The two restaurants, Boccone Trattoria Veloce, a 2,287-square feet full-service, casual-dining restaurant   and Boccone Pronto a quick-service counterpart, will be located in Terminal 1 and are set to open later this fall.

Capra is the chef and co-owner of Toronto’s Mistura and Sopra Upper Lounge, and the creative force behind the recently re-launched Rainbow Room in Niagara Falls’s Crowne Plaza Hotel. He’s also regularly featured on CityTV’s “Cityline”,  host of Food Network’s “Restaurant Makeover,” and he pens a column for The Globe & Mail.
