EDMONTON — Shelley Robinson is the new executive chef at Gateway Casinos & Entertainment’s Grand Villa Edmonton, located in the heart of the Ice district (Canada’s largest mixed-use sports and entertainment district). Robinson brings more than 20 years of experience in the foodservice industry, most recently as executive chef for Coast Hotels in Vancouver.

“We are thrilled to welcome chef Robinson to our team in Edmonton,” says Tony Santo, CEO of Gateway Casinos & Entertainment. “Chef Robinson possesses an incredible mixture of experience, education and innovation that matches very well to our culinary experiences we want to deliver to our customers in Grand Villa.”

Robinson has many accolades to her name — she is the co-author of four cookbooks, has owned and operated two restaurants in Calgary, was a delegate for Slow Food Canada in Turin, Italy, starred in the fourth season of Top Chef Canada and won Food Network’s Chopped Canada in 2014.

Grand Villa Edmonton opens tomorrow at 7 p.m.
