VANCOUVER — The Chefs’ Table Society of British Columbia is uniting eight Vancouver-based chefs to showcase their South Asian cooking skills at the second-annual Curry Cup Championship set to take place March 3 at Heritage Hall in Vancouver.

“This event gives us an opportunity to support the local culinary experts to come together for a healthy competition and camaraderie for the public to enjoy,” Jonathan Chovaneck, VP, of Vancouver-based Chef’s Table Society is quoted as saying by Vancouver Desi, a South-Asian news site.

Chefs representing Burdock & Co., Café Medina, Cibo – UVA, Hawksworth, New Westminster’s Longtail Kitchen, Perch and Railtown Café will compete to create the “most unique” curry dish.

A portion of proceeds will be donated to Project Chef, a non-profit program that educates children about wholesome food.
