Chenee Capuyen New Voice of McDonald’s

ORLANDO, Fla. — This year’s victor of the annual Voice of McDonald’s singing competition is Chenee Capuyen, who wowed judges and the 14,000 McDonald’s operators in attendance, with her rendition of the Destiny’s Child song “Stand Up For Love.”

Capuyen, who hails from Davao Del Sur, Philippines, edged out finalists Jin Hur from South Korea and Jesus Molinares from Peru to claim the coveted title, $25,000, a Macbook, Lady Gaga tickets and a chance to record a demo in a Los Angeles studio. The second- and third-place finalists won $15,000 and $10,000 respectively.

“All of those people watching me perform on stage — it was really amazing,” said Capuyan. “I’sm so thankful to the McDonald’s family for what I’sve learned and experienced.”

This year, the competition attracted 10,400 McDonald’s employees from all the over the world. The aim of the promotion is to recognize and reward a handful of the chain’s 1.6 million restaurant employees.
