CHICAGO, Ill. — Cloud-based point-of-sale (POS) provider, Revel Systems is partnering with Chicago-based Chowly Inc. to allow restaurants to receive delivery orders filtered directly into their Revel POS system. The new system saves time and money lost to manually entering each order into individual POS.
“Third-party delivery systems are the fastest growing segment of the restaurant delivery landscape,” says Brian Duncan, Chowly partner. “The problem has always been [that they] were never integrated into point –of-sale systems until now. Some restaurants are receiving thousands of orders per month via fax, email or on a standalone tablet and until now, these restaurants have had to input these orders one at a time into their Revel point of sale system”
This software can aid restaurants with orders from delivery services such as Grubhub, Eat24 and Order Up. Chowly’s service is billed as a transaction fee, which hovers around $0.40 per use, ideal for restaurants who want the service as they will only pay for what they use.
