TORONTO — Canada’s chilly weather is no deterrent for frozen-yogurt companies, and Ci Gusta! Inc., a premium frozen-yogurt concept serving Italian gelato, hot foods and desserts, is no exception, having opened its flagship store in Pickering, Ont.

“We are extremely excited to bring the true Italian flavours and hospitality of our culture to North America, specifically to the Canadian market,” said Luca Viscardi, president of Ci Gusta! Inc. “We are committed to expanding across Canada. Our second Ci Gusta! café is opening in the trendy district of Bloor West Village, Toronto later this month.”

Based in Reggio Emilia, Italy, Ci Gusta! Premium Frozen Yogurt – Soft Italian Gelato & Café offers a full breakfast, lunch and dinner menu, including crepes, cheesecake, pizza, soup, espresso drinks and dessert. Its self-serve frozen yogurt comes in flavours such as strawberry, watermelon, mango, vanilla, milk chocolate, cheesecake and sea-salted caramel, with toppings such as fresh fruit or candy.

The company operates units in Italy, Thailand, Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Poland, Kuwait, South Africa, Mumbai, Turkey and Aruba.
