TORONTO — The Citizen Restaurant + Bar in Toronto’s King West district will unveil its revamped menu on July 19. Created by its new co-chefs — former Chopped Canada contestant, Jonathan O’Callaghan and Binh An Nguyen — the menu reflects the belief that sitting down to eat should always be enjoyable and fun and the process starts with the food and those who create it.
New items include the Citizen Cheeseburger, a 7 oz house-ground, dry-aged beef strip loin with secret sauce and house-made American cheese, served with fries dusted in 11 herbs and spices; Ocean Wise Yellowfin tuna crudo with avocado toast, Yuzu gel, wasabi tobiko, rice crisps, extra virgin sunflower oil and sesame seeds; and the Birthday Cake dessert — a three -tier vanilla cake with vanilla butter cream frosting, topped with sprinkles and a sparkler.
