TORONTO — Celebrated Toronto chef Claudio Aprile is closing his Colborne Lane restaurant. The last service will be Saturday night.
“I really feel that I’ve done everything that I needed to do with that restaurant,” the chef told Toronto Life magazine of the restaurant that’s known for its modernist cuisine.Lauded as one of Canada’s most innovative and creative chefs, Aprile has worked in some of the most influential kitchens around the world, including, el Bulli in Spain and Nobu in London, England.
Aprile will now concentrate on growing his Toronto Origin brand with an uptown location scheduled to open in the spring.
