Coal Harbour Hosts New Mediterranean Tapas Eatery

VANCOUVER — Vancouver’s Coal Harbour waterfront area is now home to chef Gordon Martin and chef Abdel Elatouabi’s new tapas restaurant, Sol Sun Belt Cookery.

The new restaurant marks the first joint venture for the restaurateurs and friends. Their menu draws inspiration from their travels with Mediterranean-inspired cuisine from Spain, France, Turkey and Morocco.

Dishes include Bruschetta Albondigas, Niçoise Salad, Black Truffle Chicken and Ras Al Hanout Pork Tenderloin rubbed with a traditional North African spices. Small plates range in price from $9 to $22.

The 120-seat resto features a heated patio and hosts local jazz musicians on Friday and Saturday nights.
