MIRABEL, Que. — Cabane à Sucre au Pied de Cochon will have a new sister restaurant when it opens for the 2018 sugar season — the fittingly named Cabane d’à Côté (cabin next door).
After acquiring the land next to its original sugar shack — located 45 minutes outside of Montreal in Mirabel, Que. — the chef Martin Picard and the Au Pied de Cochon team began working on creating an additional sugar-shack dining experience.
The 38-seat sugar shack will be open Wednesday to Sunday, from Feb. 15 to May 13. Limited details have been made known about the new concept, but according to the restaurant’s Facebook page, it will offer a traditional menu in a cabin atmosphere for $56 per person.
