TORONTO — Toben Food by Design, a Toronto based catering-and-event company, is opening The Pearl in July, a Hamptons-inspired country market offering fine foods and catering services. The Pearl will be located in Bala, Ont.
The Pearl features a 1,000-sq.-ft. market space, with a 50-seat patio and outdoor-gathering space with views of Lake Muskoka. The market will offer à la carte ready-to-serve combos, prepared foods, pastries, jarred pantry goods and beverages. Customers can also order catering packages online for delivery or pick up. The property will also host The Blue Pearl, a retro-fitted shipping container with a kitchen, which will operate like a food truck and serve globally inspired snacks and beverages.
