VANCOUVER — A new French-Mediterranean restaurant is opening in Vancouver’s Coal Harbour on December 10. The 74-seat restaurant is dubbed Verre (the French word for glass) in a nod to Vancouver’s nickname, “City of Glass.”
The restaurant is led by chef/owner Liam Breen, a Vancouver native who has worked in restaurants across Canada, as well as in Dubai. He is joined by pastry chef Christine Barker, formerly of Raymonds in St. John’s.
The restaurant’s menu will initially focus on dinner — offering a seasonal menu of French dishes cast in a Mediterranean light — but is set to expand to include lunch and breakfast in the months to come.
