Coming Soon: World Oceans Day


VANCOUVER — The foodservice community is preparing to celebrate World Oceans Day, June 8.

Ned Bell, executive chef at Yew Restaurant, Four Seasons Vancouver, is hosting an Ocean Wise dinner and reception to mark the special day. The Okanagan-born chef will showcase Ocean Wise selections inspired by the oceans of the world, paired with premium wines from around the world. A portion of the proceeds will support the Vancouver Aquarium’s Ocean Wise program.

Meanwhile, the Vancouver Aquarium’s Ocean Wise, in partnership with SeaChoice, will present a beluga-inspired yoga workshop to mark the event. The yoga class, to be held in the underwater whale viewing area of the aquarium, will be led by Eoin Finn.

Both based in Vancouver, Ocean Wise and SeaChoice promote sustainable seafood.
