TORONTO — Toronto’s beloved Cookbook Store, which closed last year after more than 30 years in business, is finding a new home inside a local retail outlet.
All The Best Fine Foods, a specialty food business located at 1101 Yonge St. in Toronto, will host a special cookbook department devoted to The Cookbook Store manager Alison Fryer’s picks. Fryer will chose 60 new titles, which will complement All The Best’s founder Jane Rodmell’s book selection. “I am delighted to be working with Sue and Jane, who are as passionate about cookbooks as I am,” said Fryer. “We are creating an engaging and enlightening cookbook section within the store to reflect the current and evolving interests of those who share our passion.”
The team will also host special events with cookbook authors as well as cooking classes, food education sessions and special themed dinners. “It will be exciting to host events along with Alison, bringing back a little taste of what The Cookbook Store used to do,” said Sue Merry, co-owner, All The Best Fine Foods.
