TORONTO — Molson-owned Creemore Springs Brewery has opened a “gastrobrewery” offshoot in downtown Toronto.
Batch features a selection of Creemore Springs brews as well as beers brewed on-site by brewmaster Andrew Bartle, previously of Collingwood, Ont.’s Northwinds Brewhouse.
To accompany its brews, Batch offers a menu of gourmet pub grub and comfort food classics designed by Ben Heaton, former owner/chef of The Grove restaurant. The restaurant’s website states that the concept was born out of “an enthusiastic commitment to local food and makers.”
The beer joint also features a retail shop selling swag, Creemore Springs brews and Batch beer to-go. Batch will be open seven days a week, with dinner offered nightly, lunch on weekdays and brunch on weekends.
