TORONTO — James Rilet has been named VP of the Canadian Restaurant and Foodservices Association (CRFA) in Ontario.

“I am very pleased that James will be leading the CRFA in Canada’s largest province,” said Joyce Reynolds, EVP of Government Affairs for the CRFA.

“His extensive experience in government affairs and strong understanding of our industry’s needs bring a fresh perspective to the table. I am confident he will be an incredible advocate for our members.”

Rilett has held senior positions at the Government of Ontario as chief of staff to several ministers and managed stakeholder relations in the Premier’s office where he was responsible for restaurant industry-related files. More recently, he served as VP at Pathway Group, a Toronto-based government-relations consulting firm.

Rilett assumes the role of VP Ontario from Stephanie Jones, who resigned from her position — after a 14-year career with the CRFA — to relocate with her family to the West Coast.
