TORONTO — The upcoming CRFA Show will be home to a new Toronto Culinary Salon sanctioned by the Canadian Culinary Federation (CCFCC) and endorsed by the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS), on March 3. Hosted by CCFCC Toronto and CCFCC Oakville, the event will be co-chaired by the respective chapter presidents Cornelia Volino and Ryan Marquis.
The team of judges and jury members include Simon Smotkowicz, CCFCC Culinary Chairman, who will act as leader of the jury; Clayton Folkers, WACS Judge; Graham Tinsley, manager, Welsh National Culinary Team; and Shawn Whalen, past Culinary Team Canada captain.
Categories include Culinary Arts and Pastry Arts, with first-, second- and third-place awards to be presented in each category. Competitors will be judged on presentation and innovation, composition, proper and professional preparation, and serving arrangement.
