CRFA Show to Host WACS-Endorsed Culinary Salon

TORONTO — Toronto and Oakville will be hosting a culinary salon March 3 at the CRFA Show, which will be held at the Direct Energy Centre in Toronto.

Presented by CCFCC Toronto (The Escoffier Society) and CCFCC Oakville (in Ontario), the Culinary Salon is a culinary competition that offers an opportunity for cooks, chefs, apprentices and culinary students to showcase their culinary skills.

The competition will be the first sanctioned international event in Canada in more than 10 years. It will be organized and judged on national and international standards by The Canadian Culinary Federation (CCFCC) and The World Association of Chef Societies (WACS).

The judging panel will include Graham Tinsley, manager, Welsh National Culinary Team; Shawn Whalen, past Culinary Team Canada captain; Clayton Folkers, baking instructor, Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and Cornelia Volino, president, CCFCC Toronto Branch/The Escoffier Society of Toronto and manager, CCFCC Bocuse d’Or Canada.

The CRFA Show runs until March 4.
