VANCOUVER  — The award-winning catering team at Culinary Capers Beijing are celebrating new digs and the opening of their restaurant at the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art (UCCA), the largest gallery in the city’s 798 Art District.

The new restaurant, Switch!, is helmed by the company’s president and executive chef, Billy Kawaja, who prepares modern dishes such as duck confit dip, crispy mac ‘n’ cheese croquettes, warm cinnamon doughnuts with mascarpone and fruit compote.

“We are very excited about the opportunity for growth in the Beijing market, and we see the location of our catering and restaurant at UCCA as a key factor in driving both the growth of our business in China and the strength of our international brand,” said Debra Lykkemark, CEO of Culinary Capers.

The Beijing offshoot of Culinary Capers Catering in Vancouver opened in 2008. It was the official caterer for the B.C. Canada Pavilion in Beijing during the 2008 Summer Games.
