MINNEAPOLIS — International Dairy Queen Inc. (IDQ) has opened its first location in Poland, marking the Dairy Queen system’s presence in 28 countries outside Canada and the U.S.
The DQ Treat store at Wola Park Mall in Warszawa is the first of several locations planned for the country. The franchisee, Sparrow 4 Sp. Z.O.O., plans to develop 26 DQ Grill & Chill restaurants and DQ Treat stores throughout Poland over the next five years, including two additional locations scheduled to open by year-end.

IDQ’s entrance into Poland follows Dairy Queen’s recent openings in Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates this summer.
