TORONTO — Dan Aykroyd is headed for the Restaurants Canada show next month.
The actor and co-owner of the Hard Rock Café and the House of Blues, will attend the show’s annual breakfast event and a cocktail mixology demonstration March 3. He’ll share what he learned about the beverage industry since launching his Canadian-made Crystal Head Vodka. Crafted in Newfoundland, the award-winning gluten- and additive-free spirit is made with pure local water, filtered through layers of Herkimer diamonds and packaged in a skull-shaped bottle.
He’s building a great brand — a Canadian brand,” Donna Dooher, interim president and CEO at Toronto-based Restaurants Canada, is quoted as saying in F&H’s February issue. “It’ll be interesting to hear him talk about the challenges he encountered, where he sees growth and what his plans are for the future.”
The Restaurants Canada Show will be held at the Direct Energy Centre in Toronto from March 1 to 3.
