OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. — Darren Tristano is the new president of Technomic. Tristano joined the company in 1994 and for the past 20 years has overseen its information services division.
The Chicago-based research firm was recently acquired by Winsight, a business-to-business media information company. “Our intent when purchasing the business was to identify opportunities for investment and to organize a leadership team with the vision and skill to make the company even more successful,” said Mike Wood, CEO of Winsight. “Based on his demonstrated success in growing the information services division, his credibility across the industry and his lasting allegiance to the business, Darren stood out as a natural candidate for this role.”
All of Technomic’s senior staff and leadership team remain on board. “Those of us who have been at Technomic for a long time are excited for the opportunity to reassess the business and recalibrate it for long-term growth, relevance and success.
