LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Yum Brands, Inc. — parent company of KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut — announced earlier this week that David Gibbs will be promoted to CEO of Pizza Hut, Global, effective Jan. 1.
“David Gibbs is an accomplished leader with a proven track record of success and considerable experience in the restaurant industry. He has been a consistent growth driver, has a deep passion for the Pizza Hut brand and lives our culture,” said David C. Novak, chairman and CEO of Louisville, Ky.-based Yum Brands.
Gibbs currently serves as president for Pizza Hut, U.S.; he will take over from Scott Bergren when he retires. Gibbs will report directly to Greg Creed, who takes over as CEO of Yum Brands in January.
