Denny’s Hit by Class-Action Claim

VANCOUVER — Some 50 foreign workers from the Philippines likely thought they were headed for the land of opportunity when they applied for positions through the Canadian Temporary Worker Program in the fall, but things haven’t gone according to plan.

According to a recent CBC News report that dream has turned into a nightmare of processing fees and withheld wages for the group of Denny’s servers and cooks in Vancouver.

As a result, the group, with the help of lawyer Charles Gordon, has launched a $10-million class action suit against the company.
