OTTAWA — A Kickstarter-funded brewery is opening in Ottawa tomorrow, thanks to 273 backers who raised $19,617 last year.

Dominion City Brewing Co. will open its doors tomorrow in Ottawa’s east end at #15-5510 Canotek Rd. Three different varieties of beer will be available in twolitre growlers, 750-ml grumblers and full kegs, including Town & Country, a refreshing blonde ale; Earl Grey Marmalade Saison, a rustic Belgian beer brewed with zested oranges and organic Earl Grey tea; and Two Flags IPA, featuring a strong citrus and pineapple aroma, with burnt sugar, grapefruit and hop bitterness flavours. Its design incorporates wood rescued from the Ottawa River as well as a hand-made reclaimed pine timber tasting bar.

Owners announced that Dominion City beers will be on tap at Bowman’s Bar and Grill, Brothers Beer Bistro, Union 613 and The Wellington Gastropub in Ottawa. “At the heart of Dominion City Brewing Company really is the community,” said Josh McJannett, co-founder of Dominion City Brewing Co. “We’re so excited now to welcome everyone to the brewery and to great Ottawa bars and restaurants across the city.”
